Total TV Ratings, August 25

Seven’s Better Homes and Gardens topped total TV, increasing by 5% to reach a total audience of 631,000. 

ABC had the program with the highest lift on total TV as Gardening Australia lifted 18% for 338,000. 

On Nine, A Current Affair increased by 7% to deliver a total TV audience of 764,000.

Overnight TV Ratings, September 1

Nine inched out the Friday night primary channel shares with 22.6% and also won the network share section with 31.6%. 7TWO won the multichannels with 4.2%.

The AFL has taken a week off in preparation for Finals Week 1 next week. Earlier in the night, The Chase aired to 470,000, while Better Homes and Gardens saw 291,000 as Joh caught up with Human Nature singer Phil Burton. Seven also aired the 2016 remake of Ghostbusters to 123,000.

Nine’s Friday night NRL pulled in an audience of 392,000 as the Roosters showed up the Rabbitohs ending with 26-12. Nine’s top program of the night was A Current Affair which saw 534,000 tune in as the program met with a cafe who is facing council fines after being targeted by vandals. 

On ABC, Gardening Australia topped entertainment with 361,000, as Tammy built a vertical garden.

On 10, 217,000 tuned into the new episode of Location, Location, Location and Have You Been Paying Attention? clocked 177,000 viewers. 

The highest-rated non-news program on SBS was Ancient Egypt: Chronicles of an Empire with 106,000.

STV

The Rabbitohs V Roosters match on Fox League came in first on the chart with the Roosters smashing the Rabbits 26-12 at the Accor Stadium in Sydney. 278,000 tuned in. 149,000 tuned in to watch the Sea Eagles show up the Tigers 54-12.

51,000 tuned in to Melbourne V Collingwood in the AFLW. The final score was 73-31.
