Total TV Ratings for October 7, 2021

Home and Away was the top non-news show in the total TV ratings, with all three episodes averaging over 1 million viewers, which was up by over 20% each.

Gogglebox was the top program on 10 with 966,000 which was up 21% on its overnight ratings.

Love Island Australia has continued to explode in the total TV ratings after a huge increase of 137% on its overnight ratings. The episode was full of drama as Aaron and Taku had a big argument based on Taku’s date with Jess after she told Aaron she wasn’t feeling it with him anymore.

Nine

Nine edged out a close win over Seven in both primary channel share (18.3% to 17.8%) and in network share (28.2% to 26.7%) last night.

A Current Affair had an audience of 685,000 as the program surprised host Tracey Grimshaw live on air with a special tribute to her 40 years in the industry.

RBT then followed with 435,000 before Paradmeics had 408,000.

Love Island Australia aired in the 9:30pm slot last night as Courtney Stubbs was saved from elimination despite being left single after a recoupling. The episode had 168,000 viewers.

Seven

Home and Away was the top non-news program on Seven last night as the broadcaster aired its Thursday night triple episode. The first two episodes had an average of 541,000 while the 8:30 episode had an average of 523,000.

America’s Got Talent then followed with the fourth episode of its auditions which brought in 234,000 viewers.

The Project had 241,000 (6:30pm) and 394,000 (was 7:00pm) as the show discussed Covid boosters.

The Bachelorette had 345,000 viewers as eight participants were selected for the inaugural photoshoot date, Darvid scored the first single date of the season and after a dramatic cocktail party, 34-year-old NSW photographer Beau was sent home. 

Gogglebox Australia was the top non-news program on 10 with 596,000. The episode saw the channel surfers give their thoughts on a variety of programs including Love Island Australia.

ABC

In a repeat of Foreign Correspondent, 353,000 watched as Craig Reucassel investigated the future of food, where plant and animal cell-based meat substitutes challenge America’s multibillion-dollar meat industry.

Q+A was live from Melbourne with host David Speers as the show discussed Australia’s current situation with climate change. The episode had 265,000 viewers.

SBS

Cornwall & Devon with Michael Portillo performed well for SBS last night bringing in a crowd of 253,000.
