Border Security – Australia’s Front Line tops entertainment

Border Security – Australia’s Front Line on Seven was the most-watched entertainment program on total TV, reaching 635,000 people and rising by 4%.

A repeat of Death in Paradise came in the next, reaching 582,000 people and increasing by 6%.

The Capture on ABC experienced the biggest increase on total TV with 35% reaching a total audience of 497,000. 

Overnight TV Ratings, October 15

Nine has narrowly claimed the network share win with 28.8% followed by Seven with 28.3%, while Seven won the primary channel share with 18.8%. On the multichannels, 9Gem won the night with a 4.7% share. 

Nine’s A Current Affair topped the night with 416,000 views as the program posed the question: is the collapse of the Putin regime fast approaching? Getaway clocked 233,000 views, while the film 2012, where an academic researcher leads a group of people in a fight to counteract the apocalyptic events that were predicted by the ancient Mayan calendar, reached an audience of 198,000.

Seven’s Border Security – Australia’s Front Line was the top entertainment program of the night, bringing in 381,000 views as officer Shane investigated a delivery of chip packets that contained something less than savoury. Earlier in the day, Seven’s Horse Racing: Caulfield Cup coverage clocked 263,000 views, followed by The Everest with 243,000 views.

On ABC, a repeat of Death in Paradise was the network’s most-watched program, clocking 377,000 views. In the second episode of this two-part special, the Honore police team were left stunned by another murder. Later in the night, Capture reached 2770,000 people

On 10, 10 News First reached 196,000 people, followed by a repeat of The Dog House also pulling in 196,000 views.

Greatest Train Journeys from Above on SBS reached 159,000 views.

STV

Fox Cricket topped the subscription TV charts with its WBBL coverage, bringing in 46,000 views. The Brisbane Heat won by 9 runs against the Melbourne Stars. 

Selling Houses Australia on the Lifestyle Channel clocked 41,000, tieing with Fox Cricket’s Fox Theatre: Pat Cummins T20 with 41,000 views too.
