Nine

Nine has once again won Sunday night with a primary share of 21.9% and a network share of 29.3%

Nine has had the top primary channel share on Sunday nights every week except for one in 2021 since January.

This dominant streak has now extended across three 7:30pm franchises with Married at First Sight and Lego Masters being joined by Celebrity Apprentice as a Sunday night winner.

In its season debut, Celebrity Apprentice had 682,000 viewers with 812,000 tuning in for the final boardroom decision. This made the show the #1 non-news program, and the boardroom decision ranked #1 in the 16-39 and 18-49 demos.

The episode begun the twists fast and early as Lord Alan Sugar‘s advisors- fashion designer and entrepreneur Lorna Jane Clarkson, and Boost Juice pioneer and investor Janine Allis– were revealed to be spies, after participating in the first challenge as contestants.

At the live auction, Team Momentum gained an advantage as The Veronicas‘ special edition guitar and signed portrait sold for $60,000, while Camilla Franks‘s nude portrait made $15,000 for the Fun-Raisers.

At the silent auction, Team Momentum earned an extra $11,000 from Olivia Vivian‘s body cast, and the Fun-Raisers added an additional $30,000 to their coffers for Anthony Callea‘s photo series.

But the big earner was Michael ‘Wippa’ Wipfli‘s ‘dad bod’ mould, which earned his team $55,000 and earning the Fun-Raisers the win, with $185,000 (the total from both teams) going to the Cooper-Rice Brading Foundation.

The bottom three were Alex Hayes, Martha Kalifatidis, and Shaynna Blaze as pro surfer and influencer Alex Hayes was sent home after his artwork underdelivered in the auction.

Celebrity Apprentice was followed by 60 Minutes which brought in 551,000 viewers.

Earlier in the day Nine’s coverage of the NRL had 292,000 viewers for the traditional rivalry match up between the Parramatta Eels and Manly-Warringah Sea Eagles, with the emotional backdrop of Manly legend Bob Fulton‘s passing earlier in the day.

Seven

For the second week in a row, there was no Big Brother on Sunday night as 7News Spotlight once again featured in the 7pm slot. After last week’s Craig McLachlan interview, this week featured an investigative piece on Port Arthur massacre shooter Martin Bryant with 702,000 watching.

Afterwards was the sequel film Jack Reacher: Never Go Back which had 354,000 viewers.

Earlier in the day, the AFL had 350,000 tune in for its Sunday afternoon coverage.

10

On 10, MasterChef had 541,000 viewers as Jess was eliminated from the show.

The judges were confused by the additional elements and flavours that Jess added to her apple streusel and although they were impressed by the cake itself, it was Jess’ lack of clarity that saw her the ninth contestant sent home from the MasterChef kitchen.

The Sunday Project had 271,000 (6:30pm) and 416,000 (7:30pm) viewers as the panel discussed incentives for Covid vaccinations and The Queen’s reaction to her grandson’s latest attack.

ABC

Spicks and Specks had 475,000 as it continues its return season. The episode featured Alex Lahey, Claire Hooper, Quan Yeomans, and Anne Edmons and was down slightly on last weeks 486,000

Wakefield followed with 173,000.

SBS

The top show on SBS on Sunday was the final of Eurovision with 170,000 tuning in for the announcement of the winner on the live broadcast with 123,000 watching the performances that started at 5am.

Last night 165,000 watched the replay of the Eurovision final performances with 130,000 still watching for announcement of Italy as the winner.
