Nine’s A Current Affair investigated tradie Chris Lanting who is up for three traffic infringements, all linked to a black Audi he says he’d never gone near, before Bryan Wrench, a familiar face in high profile cases and lawyer to Guy Sebastian’s next door neighbour, sensationally claimed in court that there are “two Guys” – one good and one bad. 478,000 tuned in before 355,000 watched NRL Thursday Night Footy. The Parramatta Eeels took on reining champs Penrith Panthers in a clash that saw the Eeels take the win by one point.

On 10, The Project (128,000 6:30pm / 182,000 7pm) welcomed superstar Lizzo via video link. Sarah Harris interviewed the iconic singer who just won a Grammy and who also announced her Australian tour. The team then showcased Macleay College which looks like an ordinary school, but it actually quite unique. It’s an institution on a mission to give disadvantaged children a second chance at finishing school so they can have a positive future. Fans then tuned into Gogglebox, with 350,000 watching as our favourite couch warmers critiqued The Repair Shop UK, Dinosaur, Tulsa King, Physical 100, Seven’s Australian Idol and Sarah Marie and Matty Fahd’s adorable son Malik “hustled” Jad out of $50!

349,000 watched ABC’s 7.30 explore the battleground of East Hills, with all eyes on this weekend’s NSW state election. Laura Tingle interviewed referendum working group member Thomas Mayo and the program also revealed that the number of Australians who can’t afford to go to the doctor is on the rise. Then, 170,000 tuned in for Grand Designs: The Streets where Kevin met Joanna and Ben, who channelled all their ingenuity to realise their vision of building an American ranch-style house in a gritty part of Glasgow on a tight budget.

The highest rating non-news show on SBS was Dinosaur with Stephen Fry. 100,000 watched as acclaimed actor Stephen Fry found himself in the Early Cretaceous period, 125 million years ago. As the continents shift, dinosaurs flourished in different habitats and climates. This lead to an amazing diversity of creatures, including the iconic raptors. Stephen explored a sandy river valley and came face-to-face with the terrifying Utahraptor.
