ABC’s season two premiere of The Larkins topped entertainment, rising 32% for a total audience of 593,000. 

Nine’s Space Invaders came in next, with an increase of 16% to reach 504,000.

ABC’s Back in time for the Corner Shop had the highest lift on overnight, with 48% to reach 276,000.

Overnight TV Ratings, March 18

Seven has finished the week at the top with a network share of 34.9% and a primary channel share of 24.9%, while 7mate topped the multichannels with a 4.3% share.

Seven’s Saturday night AFL won the night, pulling in 416,000 as the Demons recorded a dominant 50-point win over the Bulldogs, 17.15 (115) to 9.11 (65). Later in the night, The Sydney Swans opened their season in style with a 49-point win over the Gold Coast Suns, while the pre match AFL coverage had 183,000. The top entertainment program of the night was Border Security – Australia’s Front Line, which reached 188,000, while the late session of Sunrise clocked 187,000.

On Nine, A Current Affair reached 386,000 as a Melbourne teenager battling cancer for the second time was gifted a Formula One car. Later in the night, Space Invaders pulled in 259,000 as the team helped Silvana and Jose clean up their house of clutter. Additionally, Getaway clocked 256,000.

On the ABC, The Larkins topped entertainment pulling in 308,000, while Under the Vines clocked 269,000 as Daisy and Louis learn that running a vineyard will take hard work and sacrifice. Later in the night, Grantchester clocked 153,000.

On 10, 155,000 tuned in to 10 News First, while 112,000 tuned into FBI: International.

The highest-rated non-news show on SBS was The World’s Most Beautiful Landscapes, with 124,000.

Fox League dominated subscription TV with its NRL coverageTopping the night was the Broncos v Dragons with 335,000, as the Broncos dominated the Dragons 40-18. Later in the night, the Warriors defeated the Cowboys 26-12 in front of 267,000. Over on Fox Footy, Super Saturday Round 1 pulled in an audience of 248,000.
