Nine

Nine was the top primary channel (23.8%) and network (32.5%) last night as it continues its winning ways on Sunday nights in 2021.

The win was thanks in part to a big night from 9 News and Beauty and the Geek launching as the #1 non-news program with 808,000 metro viewers.

The NRL (317,000) had a rare Sunday arvo win against the AFL yesterday, also beating out Seven’s coverage of the Supercars. However, the top sports program last night was another Nine property with 350,000 tuning in to watch Novak Djokovic win his sixth Wimbledon title.

Beauty and the Geek was #1 in 16-39 and 18-49 as the Geeks arrived on a speedboat before the pairs were introduced and moved into their new homes.

Mitchell and Ashleigh won a date after a successful performance in a challenge to host a seal show at Taronga Zoo, and went to a gaming arcade.

There was some tension at the Beauty and the Geek Mixer with more than one Beauty showing interest in cosplay fan James, who was paired with Kiera.

Despite some chemistry bubbling between James and Kiera when they first met, Eliza was quick to voice her interest in being re-paired with James because he’s “low-key hot”.

60 Minutes had 513,000 as Karl Stefanovic told the story of professional fisherman Michael Packard who was swallowed whole by a humpback whale.

The Wimbledon Men’s Final saw 350,000 tune in – just over 1m less than the audience that tuned in for Ash Barty‘s win on Saturday night.

Seven

Seven’s coverage of the AFL had 308,000 as it shared the spotlight with the Supercar’s Townsville 500 which had 186,000.

Farmer Wants a Wife then had 670,000 as the prospective couples gathered together for a country feast.

Andrew‘s ladies decided to instate a no-drama policy, making a pact not to “kiss and tell.”

Ash shared news of the pact with Andrew. He didn’t take it well, sensing his peaceful night of beers and banter by the fire was quickly going up in smoke.

Farmer Will‘s connection Jessica, led Jaimee, to question her relationship with the Farmer. “I just really want to know how you actually feel about me,” asked Jaimee. Will admitted Jessica confessed she liked him, they had a lot in common and he didn’t want to be left wondering. In her interview to camera, an emotional Jaimee said, “I was falling in love for the first time. I’m heartbroken.”

Farmer Sam felt the sting of jealousy, as his time spent with Mackenzie, upset the other ladies. “I think everyone gets annoyed when Sam isolates himself. I think it hurts all of us”, said Allanah.

Seven then aired the special Harry & William: What Went Wrong with 361,000 tunning in for the examination of the drama affecting the royal family.

10

The Sunday Project had 320,000 (6:30pm) and 505,000 (7pm) as the show covered the continued Covid outbreak in Sydney.

MasterChef had 688,000 viewers as Elise narrowly missed out on a spot in the grand final, with Justin and Kishwar one step closer to winning it all after joining Pete in the finale.

To earn their spots they had to create a three-course, fine dining menu to serve 20 diners and the judges.

ABC

Grand Designs had 505,000 and was followed by My Name Is Gulpilil with 283,000.

SBS

The coverage of the 15th stage Tour De France had 167,000 viewers.
