Total TV Ratings, April 21

Seven’s Better Homes and Gardens topped total TV, increasing by 5% to reach a total audience of 698,000. 

ABC had the program with the highest lift on total TV as Traces lifted 39% for 388,000 and saw the letter in the Dundee Times throw the direction of the investigation yet again.

On Nine, Friday Night NRL increased 12% to deliver a total TV audience of 662,000.

Seven dominated the Friday night shares with a primary channel share of 27.3% and a network share of 36.6%, while 7mate won the multichannels with 4.2%.

In the AFL, Port Adelaide went head-to-head with St Kilda to claim a close 7-point victory in front of 453,000 on Seven’s Friday Night AFL. 239,000 Melbourne residents tuned in to watch the match. Earlier in the night, The Chase aired to 479,000, claiming the top entertainment slot, while Better Homes and Gardens had 393,000 as Adam built a chair that can convert into a set of steps. 

Nine’s Friday night NRL pulled in an audience of 376,000 as the Eels thrashed the Knights 43-12. Nine’s top program of the night was A Current Affair, with 451,000. The program met eighteen students who are demanding compensation in a class action lawsuit against an Australian university after discovering their courses were useless because they weren’t accredited. 

On the ABC, Gardening Australia topped entertainment with 320,000, as the team meet a dancer weaving creativity into his garden.

On 10, 231,000 tuned into 10 News First, while 165,000 watched Taylor shut down Thomas’ concern that Ridge will go back to Brooke on The Bold and the Beautiful.

The highest-rated non-news show on SBS was Wrecks That Changed The World, with 91,000.

The Broncos v Rabbitohs match on Fox League topped subscription TV, clocking 279,000 views. This was followed by the Eels v Knights with 256,000.

On Fox Footy, 257,000 tuned in to watch Port Adelaide defeat St Kilda, while Friday Footy on Fox had 98,000.
