The Front Bar

The Front Bar: All Sports – Year in Review begins 8:30pm tonight on Seven and 7plus

Mick Molloy, Andy Maher and Sam Pang will assume their usual positions at the bar on Channel Seven and 7plus from this Thursday, 17 November for two weeks of The Front Bar: All Sports – Year in Review and The Front Bar: Cricket Edition.

No sport will be off limits when the boys give their take on the year that was, look back at 2022’s most memorable sporting moments and celebrate at the bar with some of Australia’s favourite sporting heroes on Thursday night.

This week’s show is set to be a classic, headlined by golden girl of the court, Ash Barty, Australia’s favourite 4,000-kilometre runner Nedd Brockmann and regular The Front Bar patron Santo Cilauro, who will preview the upcoming FIFA World Cup.

Then, on Thursday, 24 November, Mick, Sam and Andy will be joined by former Australian batsman and 7Cricket commentator, Matthew Hayden, fresh off his coaching duties with Pakistan for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup, alongside West Indies fast bowler, Curtly Ambrose, to launch the 2022-23 Summer of Cricket on Seven, ahead of the highly anticipated Australia v West Indies Test, which starts on 30 November.

Molloy said The Front Bar team was raring to go for the All Sports edition, as he looked back on his favourite sports stories of the year.

“There are so many, but probably Tom Brady divorcing Gisele Bundchen is right up there. Good to know I still have a chance,” he said.

Novak Djokovic missing the Australian Open was pretty massive, though I thought he could’ve been escorted onto the plane by a couple of ball kids.

“The SuperBowl half-time show with Snoop Dogg, Eminem, Dr. Dre and Mary J Blige was good, but I just thought it should have had Noiseworks or even a bit of Oingo Boingo. Missed opportunity in my opinion.”
