Despite some dire predictions about where share might go at 2GB post-Alan Jones, the station has survived the superstar’s departure. Ben Fordham has had a dream start with breakfast share holding above 17% as the station held above 14%. Newcomers Deb Knight (10.5%) in afternoon and Jim Wilson (9.1%) only lost a small portion of the shifts previously hosted by Chris Smith and Fordham. Ironically the biggest fall at the station was in morning where Ray Hadley was down 2.0 to 16.8%. However Hadley remains a clear leader in the timeslot and has the second-best share at any station in the Sydney market. Listening among younger viewers under 30 is up, while 65+ was down 5.3.

The breakfast show with Bogart Torelli and Glenn Daniel is now #3 FM in the market and the dayparts have taken off where smoothfm is #1 FM in morning, and #1 overall in afternoon, drive and #1 FM in evening. Kyle and Jackie O continue to drive the result here and listeners have been absorbed in joining Jackie O on her journey to Melbourne and back in the Covid-impacted The Masked Singer record. KIIS breakfast is getting good support though from Will and Woody in drive where they are #2 FM behind only smoothfm. KIIS continues to rank #1 25-39 and also lifted 40-54, trailing only WSFM.
