The aim of the game is to fool the opposing team into mistaking fact for fiction and fiction for fact

Channel 10 has confirmed that Chrissie Swan, Charlie Pickering and Frank Woodley will grace Australian screens for season two of Would I Lie To You? premiering on Monday, 13 February at 8.30pm, on Channel 10 and 10 Play.

The aim of the game is to fool the opposing team into mistaking fact for fiction and fiction for fact.

The new season will be filled with a suite of guests who each reveal weird and wonderful stories about themselves – but no one said they had to be factual. Will opposing teams be able to find the truth tellers, or will they be fooled by the fibbers?

Throughout the season, viewers will hear tall tales and sincere stories from Pete Rowsthorn, Luke McGregor, Myf Warhurst and more.

Last year, Mediaweek spoke to the season one team captain, Chris Taylor, who will be replaced by Charlie Pickering this year, about his time on the show.

“I find there aren’t enough platforms nowadays that peddle misinformation and lies, so I was primarily attracted to the show as a rare opportunity to be confronted with ludicrous claims,” Taylor joked.

When asked what it was like being a team captain, Taylor said, “It felt a bit like having an enormous amount of power over something that’s profoundly silly and inconsequential. So, a bit like being the CEO of Sky News.”

“Scott Morrison was, unsurprisingly, extremely good on the show. I mean, if ever there was a tv show made for Scomo’s skillset, it’s Would I Lie To You,” Taylor said when asked about some of the more surprising stories from the show

Would I Like To You? is based on the popular UK format of the show that airs on the BBC, which is hosted by Rob Brydon with team captains, comedians David Mitchell and Lee Mack.
