Southern Cross Austereo (SCA) has moved to further nationalise its content leadership, announcing a suite of senior appointments across the Hit Network as it sharpens its focus on scale, consistency and multi-platform growth.
The appointments see SCA formalise a strengthened national content structure across The Hit Network, elevating senior operators with deep on-air, creative and music leadership experience into expanded network-wide roles.
At a time when commercial radio groups are under pressure to do more nationally – without losing local relevance – the moves signal a deliberate push by SCA to centralise creative direction, operational oversight and music strategy across its largest network.
National roles take shape across operations, creativity and music
Ellie Angel-Mobbs has been appointed HIT Network Assistant Content Director – Operations & Announcer, a role designed to provide leadership across the network, support announcers and contribute to national initiatives.
Angel-Mobbs brings more than 25 years of on-air experience and will continue in her existing role as Assistant Content Director and announcer at B105, supported by further development of the local content team to enable a greater national focus.

Tim Lee has been appointed HIT Network Assistant Content Director – Creative & Announcer. With more than two decades at SCA, Lee’s new remit formalises his influence on the Hit Network’s national creative direction.
He will continue as Assistant Content Director and announcer at Fox FM, with operational support from Brad Wood.
Kiri Martin has been promoted to HIT Network Senior Music Director / Event Partnerships & 2DayFM Assistant Content Director.
With more than 16 years’ experience in music – including a decade as Senior Music Director at SCA – Martin will provide national leadership across music strategy and event partnerships, while continuing to play a key role in 2DayFM’s content direction.

A clearer national spine for Hit
The trio will work closely with Amanda Lee, Head of Hit Metro Content, and the network’s metro Content Directors to drive Hit’s national strategy, reinforcing a leadership model that blends local execution with network-wide consistency.
Lee said the appointments reflect both the scale of Hit’s ambition and its focus on internal talent development.
“HIT is famous for delivering beloved shows, the biggest hits and unforgettable moments for women 25–54, driven by exceptional people. From relatable, locally connected shows that tap into pop culture and music, to major events like Fridayz Live, our content leaders sit at the centre of everything we do. As a network, we’re proud to recognise and promote outstanding talent from within, giving our leaders the opportunity to grow, learn and help shape the next phase of HIT. With fun, relatability and local connection at our core, this marks an exciting chapter as we collaborate to create even more powerful multi-platform moments.”
For the industry, the reshuffle underscores how major radio groups are recalibrating leadership models to balance efficiency, creative coherence and audience scale, particularly as networks look to extend content beyond broadcast into live events and digital platforms such as LiSTNR.
All appointments are effective immediately.
