PM to headline sold-out Australia’s Economic Outlook luncheon

The event sold out less than 24 hours after his keynote appearance was announced.

Prime Minister Anthony Albanese will headline the annual Australia’s Economic Outlook business luncheon next month, with the event selling out less than 24 hours after his keynote appearance was announced.

Hosted by Sky News Australia and The Australian, the event will take place on Friday, 5 June and stream live and in full on Sky News Extra.

The newly announced speaker line-up includes the Regional General Manager of Retail at Uber Eats APAC, Lucas Groeneveld, the BHP Australia president, Geraldine Slattery, and the TechnologyOne executive vice president of sales and marketing, Barry Dietrich.

The executives will join The Australian Wealth Editor Julie-anne Sprague for a panel discussion examining economic trends impacting Australian business ahead of FY27.

Federal Budget and economic outlook in focus

The event will also feature a live Q&A between Albanese and Sky News Political Editor Andrew Clennell following the recent May Federal Budget.

A fireside chat between Reserve Bank of Australia Deputy Governor Andrew Hauser and Sky News Business Editor Ross Greenwood is also scheduled as part of the program.

Sky News AM Agenda anchor Laura Jayes will return to host the event.

Australia’s Economic Outlook will take place on Friday, 5 June at 12:30 pm AEST.
