Australian Ninja Warrior is returning soon to Channel Nine and 9Now with an all-new team calling the shots.

The 2022 season will be hosted by tennis legend Jim Courier and journalist and presenter Leila McKinnon, with resident funny men Will & Woody from KIIS FM’s national Drive show course-side.

The program goes into production for season six in February at a refreshed obstacle course at Qudos Bank Arena in Sydney’s Olympic Park.

Former world No. 1 tennis player and Australian Open commentator Jim Courier says Australian Ninja Warrior will bring new challenges that put a fresh crop of Ninjas to the test.

“Like Grand Slam tennis, Australian Ninja Warrior is an amazing test of athleticism and tenacity. I’ve always loved Ninja, so I’m thrilled to be on board to witness this year’s Ninjas test their physical and mental limits,” Courier said.

Leila McKinnon said: “I have been a huge fan from the start so it will be a privilege now to be front and centre with these athletes to see what they can achieve when put to the test. This year the Ninjas will go further, faster and higher on a supercharged new obstacle course.”

Will & Woody said: “We’ve spent the last two months working so hard to get in shape and are just finding out now that we’re not actually doing the course.

“We are incredibly excited to be joining one of our favourite shows, Australian Ninja Warrior, and we can’t wait to see what the contestants bring to the course”.

Australia Ninja Warrior is a high-stakes game – with Mt Midoriyama being conquered only once in five seasons, the question is can someone do it again?

Audience tickets for the upcoming season are available here from 10.00am Tuesday, February 1.

Australian Ninja Warrior is produced by Endemol Shine Australia for the Nine Network.
