In the total TV ratings, The Block was the top non-news show with 1.406m after seeing its overnight ratings increase by 24%. The episode saw the tension between the teams intensified when Tanya and Vito and Josh and Luke declined an invite to Ronnie and Georgia‘s Winners Are Grinners dinner. 

SAS Australia was up 32% to 1.236m viewers for its episode which saw recruits have a hand-to-hand combat test which saw Alicia Molik quit after an onslaught from Jana Pittman and Pete Murray medically withdraw after dislocating his elbow against Mark Philippoussis.

Home and Away had 1.206m viewers after an increase of 17% on its overnight viewership.

Have You Been Paying Attention? was the top show on 10 with 1.195m viewers, which was up 19%. The episode featured Rosehaven co-stars Luke McGregor and Celia Pacquola.

The Masked Singer was up 17% to 914,000, while its reveal of Lote Tuqiri was revealed to be the celeb under the Piñata costume was up 10% bringing to just over 1m.

Nine was the top primary channel (21.7%) and network (28.7%) last night thanks to its winning combo of A Current Affair, The Block, and Liz Hayes.

A Current Affair had 801,000 viewers as it covered Cecil Kennedy‘s arrested by Detective Inspector Paul Quigg, who has worked on the case surrounding 21-month-old Jordan Thompson‘s death in 2005.

The Block had 876,000 as Tanya and Vito‘s sunken lounge idea for their living and dining area was put in jeopardy when an electricity supply is discovered under the floor. Teams were also given the option to prepare their laundries for cabinetry installation even though it’s Living and Dining Week, because of the change in the schedule as a result of the cheating scandal.

The Winners Are Grinners dinner was hosted by Kirsty and Jesse after their win for Kitchen Week. Since Ronnie and Georgia and Mitch and Mark were still finishing the Tombolo Academy kitchen, dinner is held at the school. Everyone turns up, even host Scott Cam with McDonald’s for the teams to eat.

This episode was the top non-news program of the night and was up on last week’s episode which had 812,000.

Under Investigation with Liz Hayes had 412,000 viewers as the show examined the 2010 death of 24-year-old Phoebe Handsjuk whose body was discovered at the bottom of a garbage chute in a luxury Melbourne apartment complex.

Seven

Home and Away kicked off its week by bringing in an audience of 631,000 viewers, making it the top non-news show on Seven last night.

SAS Australia then followed with 599,000 as the 10 remaining recruits passed the halfway mark of the course. The episode saw no recruits go home after the celebs had to forward abseil down a steep 90 metre cliff face, and then split into two teams for a mission in a pitch black tunnel, under team leaders Mark Philippoussis and Dan Ewing.

This episode was down on last week’s 620,000. 

Seven then aired the latest entry in The Terminator franchise, Terminator: Dark Fate, which had an audience of 234,000.

The Project had 333,000 (6:30pm) and 532,000 (7:00pm) as the show discussed the tensions in parliament over climate change policies, and the NSW roadmap announced by the state government.

The Masked Singer had an average audience of 597,000 before 719,000 tuned in to see Alli Simpson revealed as the performer under the Lighting costume. Simpson’s rendition of Rachel Platten’s Fight Song, was outdone by Kebab’s soulful take on the Otis Redding hit Try A Little Tenderness.

Have You Been Paying Attention? then had 684,000 viewers and featured Tony Martin, Melanie Bracewell, Lloyd Langford, Alex Ward and Ed Kavalee. The show was #1 in the 16-39 demographic.

ABC

Australian Story had 602,000 as the show went behind the scenes of the AFP investigation into the biggest insider trading case in Australian history between Christopher Hill and Lukas Kamay.

Four Corners investigated the powerbrokers in Australian soccer.  This included the foreign owners funding Melbourne City, Sydney FC and the Brisbane Roar, to the investors backing Adelaide United, and examined the finances and the personalities behind the sport. The episode had 431,000 viewers.

Media Watch then followed with 419,000.

The top program on SBS last night was Secret Scotland with 182,000.
