Total TV Ratings, September 8

Home and Away was the top entertainment show in the total TV ratings with the first two episode of the night having an average audience of 867,000, up 22% on its overnight viewership. The third and final episode of the night had 813,000 viewers, up 26%. 

Gogglebox was the top program on 10 with 794,000 viewers tuning in. This was an increase of 32% on its overnight audience.

RBT was the top non-news program on Nine with 667,000, up 6%.

Nine was both the top primary channel (21.4%) and network (30.9%) last night thanks to a Thursday night staple, and a bout of international rugby. A Current Affair had 551,000 viewers as the show examined how the Queen’s speeches were a comfort for the world throughout her reign. This was followed by the first match of the Bledisloe Cup  between the Wallabies and the All Blacks which had 524,000 viewers tune in for the rare Thursday night fixture.

On Seven, Home and Away was the top non-news program for the broadcaster after airing three back-to-back-to-back episodes. The first two eps had an average of 462,000 viewers before the third and final episode had 404,000. The Front Bar had 337,000 viewers as it continues to dominate Melbourne with 232,000 viewers.

Gogglebox was the top program for 10 with 400,000 viewers. Earlier, Shaun Micallef’s Brain Eisteddfod had 242,000 viewers.

On the ABC, Foreign Correspondent had 271,000 viewers as it took viewers to Sri Lanka. 

On SBS, Handmaid’s Tail returned with 95,000 viewers.
