As Married At First Sight (MAFS) reached its halfway point, the participants set the table for another Dinner Party. Topping the night overall lifting 65%, 2,017,000 watched as the fallout from the pocket-dial became the centre of the conversation.

Seven’s Home and Away rose 24%, as 924,000 watched Rose get grilled by Mali’s sister.

Hard Quiz was up 18% on the ABC, bringing in a total audience of 814,000. The Weekly With Charlie Pickering followed with 709,000, up 24%.

470,000 watched The Dog House Australia, up 16%.

Nine has won Wednesday night with a primary share of 28.4% and a network share of 36.2%. 9Gem has topped multichannles with a 3.1% share. 

Nine’s A Current Affair spoke with a family living with the impacts of dust from a neighbouring mine that hasn’t even opened yet, and told 667,000 about a  builder that has been pulling a long sickie. The Married At First Sight (MAFS) couples returned from The Retreat – well, everyone except Tayla, who pulled a runner and left to go home to Tasmania. At the dinner party, 897,000 tuned in as Tayla made a shock reappearance, only for her and her husband Hugo to officially break up on the spot. Under Investigation followed, digging into the murder of Don Mackay for 355,000.

On Seven’s Home and Away, 482,000 tuned in for the fallout of Theo leaving home. The first part of The Best of the Russell Gilbert Show followed, with 237,000 looking back at the work of one of the most iconic comedians Australia has ever produced.

7.30 told 446,000 ABC viewers about the temperatures that some tenants are enduring in their rental homes, and looked into the impact of the national rural health crisis. Prime Minister Anthony Albanese, Grey’s Anatomy, echidnas, and The Adventures of Rin Tin Tin were the Hard Quiz topics that Tom Gleeson grilled punters on for an audience of 515,000, before The Weekly With Charlie Pickering drew a crowd of 403,000. 

On 10, The Project (171,000 6:30pm / 251,000 7pm) covered the news that Bindi Irwin has been battling endometriosis for 10 years, and interviewed original Project host Dave Hughes. The Dog House Australia followed Annika and Evie as they looked for their first dog together, bringing furry friends to the screen for 326,000.

The highest rating non-news show on SBS was Bloodlands with 85,000.
