TV Ratings February 27, 2022: Viewers choose stay as MAFS hits new high

Total TV Ratings, February 20

Married at First Sight (MAFS) once again dominated the total TV ratings, this time with an audience of 1.831m, an increase of 46%. The episode featured the weekly commitment ceremony which saw Holly leave the experiment following Andrew quitting the night before.

Vera was the #2 entertainment program with a robust 1.229m, up 34%.

The launch of Dancing with the Stars: All Stars was the top entertainment program for Seven with 1.018m, up 18%. The episode saw Cameron Daddo be the first celeb sent home.

Australian Survivor had an audience of 829,000 viewers, up 35%, as the episode saw Nina leave the show due to injury.

Nine has continued its strong performance off the back of winning its first week of the TV ratings survey for the year, by being the #1 primary channel (27.2%) and network (34.5%) last night.

Once again the driving force for Nine was Married at First Sight (MAFS) which was again the top entertainment program of the night with 1.007m viewers, which was up on last week’s 926,000. This was the highest rating episode of the year and was also #1 in all key demos. The episode saw Selin and Anthony choose to leave the experiment.

60 Minutes then followed with 611,000 as the show covered three stories, led by Tom Steinfort’s story on Vladimir Putin. The program also featured a report by Liam Bartlett on Anna Sorokin who has entered the zeitgeist following her portrayal in the Netflix original series Inventing Anna.

On Seven, 605,000 watched as Angie Kent‘s cha-cha saw her the second celebrity sent home from Dancing with the Stars: All Stars.

The episode was up on last week’s launch audience of 588,000.

On 10, The Sunday Project had 243,000 (6:30pm) and 354,000 (7:00pm) as the show covered the ongoing conflict in Ukraine, and discussed the floods in Queensland. 

Australian Survivor had 499,000 viewers as the tribes merged, the first immunity challenge for the Lava Tribe saw Khan take home $60,000 but all the money in the world couldn’t buy him immunity as he was then sent home at the tribal council and became the first member of the Jury. This episode was up on last Sunday’s 491,000 viewers.

On the ABC, Grand Designs New Zealand had 444,000 viewers before the new Aussie drama Troppo had 353,000 viewers.

The top non-news program on SBS was Treasures of Arabia with 139,000 viewers.
