On 10, the finale of Neighbours has dominated in total TV, winding back the clock for 1,477,000 viewers as it featured returning actors such as Margot Robbie, Delta Goodrem, Jesse Spencer, Kym Valentine and Carla Bonner. The episode was up 36%.

Fellow soap Home and Away drew 777,000 to Seven, lifting 34%. Also on Seven, The Front Bar had 586,000 viewers, up 12%, airing nationally for its Birmingham Edition ahead of the Commonwealth Games.

On the ABC, 30 Years of Foreign Correspondent lifted 10%, bringing in 554,000 viewers.

Seven continues to enjoy strong ratings from the Commonwealth Games after the broadcaster won Thursday night with a primary channel share of 28.1% and a network share of 38.0%. The Comm Games once again was the bedrock of this win with another strong set of ratings:

Night: 669,000
Evening: 564,000
Late Night: 333,000

The highlight came from Australian discus star Matthew Denny, who secured the gold medal and then delivered an interview for the ages that was gatecrashed by one of his rivals, Lawrence Okoye.

On Nine, A Current Affair had 629,000 viewers as the program told the story of eight housemates in Queensland who discovered that their landlord had installed CCTV cameras in their home. Nine’s NRL coverage then had 255,000 viewers as the Sydney Roosters defeated the Brisbane Broncos., with 129,000 tuning in from Sydney. 

On 10, The Project had 204,000 (6:30pm) and 279,000 (7:00pm) as the program discussed the Monkey Pox vaccine. Dog House Australia then followed with 365,000 viewers.

On the ABC, Foreign Correspondent had 269,000 viewers before Q+A had 210,000 tune in.

The top program on SBS was a repeat of Titanic: The New Evidence with 131,000 viewers.
