TV Guide: Wallabies V Springboks game two on 9Gem and 9Now

Wallabies

• The Wallabies edged out the world champions 28-26 last Sunday

After a win against South Africa, the Wallabies continue their Rugby Championship campaign this Saturday in game two against the Springboks, live on 9Gem, 9Now – and extended, live and ad-free coverage on Stan Sport.

With the Wallabies edging out the world champions 28-26 last Sunday, Quade Cooper became Australia’s golden boy, kicking a match-winning penalty after the final siren in his first Test match in more than four years.

Saturday’s coverage will be presented by the Wide World of Sports and Stan Sport commentary lineup, hosted by Roz Kelly and Nick McCardle, and featuring All Blacks superstars Sonny Bill Williams and Andrew Mehrtens. Wallaby greats Tim Horan, Drew Mitchell, Morgan Turinui and Justin Harrison will break down all the action, assisted by Sera Naiqama

After losing all three Bledisloe Cup matches against New Zealand, the Wallabies have had a much-needed confidence boost for their encounter at a packed Suncorp Stadium in Brisbane. But the South Africans, led by captain Siya Kolisi, will be smarting – they haven’t lost consecutive Test matches since 2018.

After Saturday’s clash there will be little recovery time for the Wallabies, who face Argentina next over two successive weekends: September 25 in Townsville and October 2 on the Gold Coast.

The Nine Network is screening all Wallabies fixtures in the 2021 Rugby Championship, with every match streaming ad-free, live and on demand with extended coverage on Stan Sport. Immediately after the Wallabies v Springboks match, Argentina will take on New Zealand, live and exclusive to Stan Sport subscribers from 7.45pm AEST.
