Triple M Footy and the network have announced a new opportunity for fans of the two biggest codes in the country – AFL and NRL – with Triple M Footy commentary now available via live streams on the LiSTNR app.

Last week’s Australian Podcast Ranker saw Triple M AFL podcast ranked in the top 10 and it is the most downloaded sports property in the country. Triple M’s NRL podcast is ranked nationally at 15. Triple M will now offer even more audio on demand to fans with bonus commentary, replays, and extended highlights packages after each game.

Head of Triple M, Mike Fitzpatrick, said: “We are thrilled to be able to take full advantage of our already strong AFL and NRL audio presence and extend to our LiSTNR app.  We know footy fans turn to our expert commentary teams around the country for unrivalled access, our unique entertainment style and insights and now we’ll have more for them to listen to wherever they are via the LiSTNR app.”

In LiSTNR, the Triple M Footy AFL channel hosts every episode of The Friday Huddle, The Saturday Rub, The Sunday Rub, and the LiSTNR exclusive Midweek Rub. The AFL’s top news breaker, Tom Browne also hosts a Footy News podcast every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.

And if NRL is your game, Triple M also has you covered with all the live action of every game, plus the regular Saturday Scrum and Sunday Sin Bin shows, The Rush Hour with MG & Liam and The Rush Hour Queenslander with Dobbo.

Earlier this year, Triple M Footy announced their footy experts joining the line-up for the 2021 season.

For the 2021 NRL season, Triple M will cover all key games including the State of Origin series and the Grand Final planned for October 3. Triple M Rocks NRL is the weekend radio show ripping into the latest stories facing the sport. Ryan Girdler, Wendell Sailor, Peter ‘Sterlo’ Sterling, James Hooper and Tony Squires cover the lead up to Saturday arvo footy followed by Gordan Tallis, Paul Kent, Ryan Girdler and Anthony Maroon who tackle the show on Sundays.
