Southern Cross Austereo (SCA) and the Australian Rugby League Commission have reached an agreement to extend their partnership for Audio Broadcast Rights until 2027.

The new partnership from 2023 to 2027 includes broadcast rights across the Triple M Network and LiSTNR, including:

• Exclusive commercial broadcast of four NRL Home and Away Matches each week
• State of Origin, Representative Matches and NRL Finals Series
• NRL Women’s Premiership, Nines and All Stars

SCA will also for the first time be able to broadcast in its Regional Markets, covering every home and away match for their local team.

“We are absolutely delighted to renew our partnership with the NRL which is an important pillar in our sport offering on the Triple M network and LiSTNR. We not only look forward to continuing to deliver the best audio commentary of each game but importantly continue to produce a suite of premium pre-game and post- game commentary and entertainment for the NRL community and our valued listeners” SCA CEO, Grant Blackley, said.

“This partnership is a great outcome for our fans,” said NRL chief executive, Andrew Abdo.

“Southern Cross Austereo (SCA) has been an excellent partner in promoting our game and broadcasting additional content beyond game day coverage and this expanded deal will take that to a new level. So many of our fans rely on radio networks like Triple M to access and enjoy the Telstra Premiership and we are looking forward to ways in which we can work together over the coming seasons to further innovate the listening experience. This partnership is a particularly great outcome for our regional fans with every Raiders, Knights, Titans and Cowboys home game to be broadcast live.”

The partnership builds on a relationship that now extends over 20 years and allows a continued focus to grow the game.
