The Vodcast takes on the biggest moments in streaming, film and pop culture each week

Pedestrian and The Betoota Advocate are blasting into your eye and ear holes from Thursday with their new entertainment vodcast collab, The Show Off, available on 9Now and all good podcast services.

After years of not-so-passive aggressive online banter between the two sites, Pedestrian’s Head of Editorial, Josephine Rozenberg-Clarke along with The Betoota Advocate’s Entertainment and Lifestyle Reporter Effie Bateman and Sports Reporter (and token bloke) Wendell Hussey will form an unholy union to give viewers and listeners their spicy takes on the biggest moments in streaming, film and pop culture each week.

From which new series you need to be obsessing over right now, to an in-depth dissection of *that* pivotal Pedro Pascal moment, to which celeb has been canceled so hard they’re now worthy of an “In Memoriam” – no entertainment stone will be left unturned on The Show Off.

It’s the collab Aussies didn’t know they needed – perfect for hardcore pop culture stans to those that can’t keep up with their mates’ pub chat and everyone in between. The Show Off promises to keep you in the loop on anything you’ve missed, and everything you give a rat’s about across streaming, film, TV and more.

Josephine Rozenberg-Clarke, Head of Editorial, Pedestrian.TV said, “Pedestrian and The Betoota Advocate have been taking the piss out of each other for years online, so we thought it was time to fire shots at each other in podcast format, too. And what better topic to bicker over? Young Aussies are obsessed with entertainment and are all streaming about 50 shows at once, so we’ve joined forces to round up all that’s good (and more importantly, bad) in the land of TV and pop culture each week.”

The Betoota Advocate’s Wendell Hussey said, “A collaboration with Pedestrian is not something we ever thought we’d be doing, but thanks to the current media and economic climate, here we are. So, it’s time to bury the hatchet and bring our trademark style of reporting to the world of Pop Culture — for the diehards and the mildly interested significant others.”

The Show Off launches on Thursday 30 March on 9Now, or follow the vodcast via wherever you get your podcasts.
