Pac Mags names Emily Taylor as editor of InStyle Australia

Former marie claire Australia employee named new editor of InStyle Australia.

Jackie Frank, group publisher fashion and health, Pacific Magazines, today named Emily Taylor (right) as editor of InStyle Australia, effective May 4th.

“I am pleased to announce that Emily will re-join Pacific Magazines to lead InStyle,” said Ms. Frank. “With her exhaustive knowledge of the fashion and beauty industry in the local market, combined with her international experience, Emily is the ideal candidate for the role of editor.”

“I had the pleasure of working with Emily on marie claire Australia for many years and I’m thrilled that we have been able to bring her back from the UK,” Ms. Frank continued. “Her unique experience across print and digital platforms, along with her passion for the industry, will continue to drive the success of the InStyle brand in Australia.”

Ms. Taylor returns to Pacific Magazines from London, where she has worked extensively in print, digital and social media on some of the UK’s leading fashion, beauty and lifestyle retail brands including John Lewis, Marks & Spencer, and Net-A-Porter. She commenced her Pacific Magazines career in the role of beauty editor at marie claire Australia in 2005. She was promoted first to beauty director, and then to associate editor fashion and beauty. Her final role on the title was as associate editor across the magazine, before her departure in 2012.

Ms. Taylor succeeds Kirsten Galliott, who will leave Pacific Magazines after three successful years as InStyle Australia’s editor.
