Gemma Jones named The Australian’s chief of staff, replacing Petra Rees

Gemma Jones has been appointed The Australian’s national chief of staff. Jones has covered state and federal politics and covered the turbulent years of the Gillard-Rudd governments.

Jones has worked in Sydney, Canberra and New York for The Daily Telegraph where she was most recently chief of staff for the past two and a half years.

Jones replaces Petra Rees who has been appointed The Australian’s deputy editor.
