Special Final Series episodes of AFL 360, Bounce and Best On Ground coming with live audiences

Foxtel and Kayo Sports have released details of how they are starting celebrations for the 2022 AFL Final Series. The dedicated AFL channel Fox Footy has teamed up with award-winning Herald Sun cartoonist Mark Knight for a bespoke piece of artwork.

Knight has created a cartoon titled For The Love Of Finals Footy which features seven past legends of the game and a current-day superstar all vying for the sacred Premiership Cup.

Featured in the cartoon are Fox Footy contributors Jack Riewoldt (Richmond), Jonathan Brown (Brisbane), Nathan Buckley (Collingwood), Garry Lyon (Melbourne), Matthew Pavlich (Fremantle), Cameron Mooney (Geelong), Brad Johnson (Western Bulldogs) and Gerard Healy (Sydney).

The piece was revealed by Mark Knight on AFL 360 this week with the caricature specialist telling the channel’s high-ratings daily show: “There are some great faces there. I love drawing Jack Riewoldt and of course the big Browny in the middle – he’s got a head like a brick. Bucks has been one of my favourites [to draw] for years.”

Meanwhile, Fox Footy announced this week that a studio audience is invited to attend AFL 360 on Thursday 22nd September for the first time since the fan-favourite show began 12 years ago.

On the same night, the host of Bounce Jason Dunstall will wrangle the usually unpredictable troupe of Andrew Gaze, Cameron Mooney, Bernie Vince and Ben Dixon in front of a live studio audience.

The following night, on grand final-eve, Fox Footy’s newest entertainment show Best On Ground will celebrate the biggest game of the year with a Grand Final preview episode.

Grand Final day on Fox Footy begins early with the Grand Final Breakfast then the annual Fox Footy Longest Kick returns to the banks of the Yarra River to see superstars of the game attempt to boot the Sherrin further than their rivals.

While Fox Footy doesn’t broadcast the last match of the year, it covers the remainder of the final sries commencing with Brisbane taking on Richmond at the Gabba on Thursday night from 6.30pm AEST. Coverage is available on Foxtel and Kayo Sports.
