“This is an amazing opportunity to partner with an ambitious, iconic Queensland brand”

Claxon announced it has been appointed to lead the creative and media accounts for Chempro.

Chempro is one of the major players in the Australian pharmacy industry, with over 120 locations across Southeast Queensland and Northern New South Wales. Chempro pride itself on being a part of the community that it services, with extensive advice from leading specialists both in-store and online for all Australians.

The independent agency will partner with Chempro on the journey of reimagining what an Australian Chemist brand could be and how to shake the stuffy industry image and communicate on a more human-centred level with consumers.

Stevie Peers, Chempro Brand marketing manager, said: “Our goal for 2023 is to reposition our brand and reconnect with our community. The team at Claxon really took the time to learn and understand our companies past, present and plans for the future.

“They took our vision and turned it into a strategy that we believe will really move the needle for us this year and beyond.”

Steve Hanzic, creative director, said: “This is an amazing opportunity to partner with an ambitious, iconic Queensland brand as it looks to differentiate from a clinical sea of sameness and embed itself as a valued member of the community.”

The win comes a couple of weeks after Claxon acquired Sydney agency Growe Media in a move to further bolster its service offering and geographic footprint ahead of a global push later in the year.

Claxon is an integrated, independent growth agency with clients such as Binance, CarExpert, Accor Hotels, Euka, and has offices on the Gold Coast, Brisbane and Melbourne.
