Fairfax’s The Australian Financial Review today has launched a newly redesigned and optimised iPad app, following a 70% growth in its mobile audience over the last 12 months.
The upgraded app features more frequent news updates, new content sections including Leadership, Smart Investor and BRW. It also has a clearer and more user-friendly design with a new menu and layout, and native integration of push notifications, easier sharing of articles and multidevice integration.
“Our readers have made the app part of their daily routine, spending more than 10 minutes per session on the app. We continue to innovate and enhance our digital offering to deliver Australia’s most trusted finance, business and political news in line with our audience’s changing media consumption habits,” said The Fin‘s editor-in-chief Michael Stutchbury.
The new app will also allow advertisers to target specific audiences based on their reading habits, in addition offering new ad formats.
