Asana has appointed Jo Gaines as GM APAC, effective May 18, 2026.
Gaines was previously Head of Channel APJ at the company, where she led the company’s partner business across the region, including strategic partner onboarding, channel program development and partner learning initiatives.
Before joining Asana in 2023, Gaines held senior leadership roles at Salesforce and Krux Digital. She is also co-founder of Breaking Glass, an organisation supporting senior executive women.
Kevin Knieriem, CRO at Asana, said Gaines had a strong understanding of the APAC market and the company’s customer base.
“From the moment I started working with Jo, it was clear she was the right leader for this region and this moment. She has spent over two decades building technology businesses across the Asia Pacific, from scaling data and audience markets at Salesforce to joining Asana and building our enterprise go-to-market in APAC,” Knieriem said.
“She knows this region deeply, she knows our customers, and she knows how to build. To our customers, partners, and teams across the region: you are in exceptional hands.”
Gaines said she was looking forward to continuing to support customers and partners across the region.
“I am excited to step into the GM role and continue to invest in and support our wonderful customer and partner network across the region,” Gaines said.
“Workforce transformation, AI adoption and lifting team productivity are top of mind for businesses across the region, and Asana is well-placed to help leaders accelerate positive change with the tools they want. I am grateful for this opportunity and look forward to working closely with our team across the region.”
Asana said more than 180,000 organisations globally use its platform.
