Bon Jovi Greatest Hits celebrates 100 weeks in the top 50

It’s a big week for Taylor Swift, as Midnights clocks up its 10th non-consecutive week at #1 on the ARIA albums chart, making it her longest-running #1 album in Australia.

Midnights, which is also Swift’s 10th chart-topping album here, moves ahead of 1989, which debuted in 2014 and stayed on top for nine weeks. This week, 1989 sits at #20.

Here are Swift’s previous nine #1 ARIA albums and how long they reigned on top.

• Speak Now: 2010, one week
• Red: 2012, three weeks
• 1989: 2014, nine weeks
• Lover: 2019, one week
• Folklore: 2020, four weeks
• Evermore: 2020, four weeks
• Fearless (Taylor’s Version): 2021, one week
• Red (Taylor’s Version): one week

ARIA CEO, Annabelle Herd, said: “Congratulations Taylor! 10 weeks at #1 is a great achievement and 10 chart-topping albums in just 12 years is incredible. Australia’s love affair with Taylor and her music is not slowing down.”

While Midnights stops SZA’s SOS from climbing to the top of the albums chart, the lead single from the American R&B star’s album – Kill Bill – rises to #1 on the ARIA singles chart.

Kill Bill becomes SZA’s first #1 in Australia. Her previous best was a #2 placing for All The Stars (with Kendrick Lamar) from the Black Panther soundtrack in 2018. She also featured on Doja Cat’s Kiss Me More, which topped out at #2 in 2021.

Fresh from hitting #1 in her native UK, Escapism. by RAYE featuring 070 Shake climbs to a new high of #4. Stephen Sanchez and Em Beihold’s sleeper hit Until I Found You rises from #30 to #12 (it first hit the Top 100 in June last year), while Aussie Dean Lewis’ global hit How Do I Say Goodbye rebounds from #26 to #16, two spots shy of its previous peak.

New at #35 on the singles chart is Rumble by Skrillex, Fred again.. and Flowdan. First played in public at the Boiler Room in London in July last year, it’s the lead release from Skillrex’s upcoming studio album, his first since Recess in 2014. Skrillex’s biggest hit in Australia, Bangarang (featuring Sirah), reached #4 in 2012.

On the album chart, Bon Jovi Greatest Hits – The Ultimate Collection is celebrating its 100th week in the top 50.
