A Dog on Animals Aboard with Dr Harry

The series takes viewers on a journey along with the animals

The documentary series Animals Aboard with Dr Harry, which follows animals on their journeys across the world, will premiere on Wednesday, 5 July on Channel Seven and 7plus.

The new series goes behind the scenes of the multi-million-dollar animal travel industry to unearth a goldmine of touching stories of pets and animals who need to travel for work, play, medical reasons, or family reunions.

The trailer shows pets who’ve been reunited with their loved ones, as well as exotic zoo animals that have been transported, and the return of rehabilitated marine life.

Dr Harry

Dr Harry Cooper is one of Australia’s most well-known TV veterinarians and started his career as an animal expert on a local Sydney breakfast show. He moved to Network Seven in 1997 to host Talk To The Animals for three years before starting Harry’s Practice in 1997 which ran for six years.

Cooper joined Better Homes and Gardens in 2004 and has been providing pet information and advice to viewers ever since.

Also announced on Monday, fellow TV Vet Dr. Chris Brown will be coming to Seven with two new presenting roles.

The first appointment will see the former I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here presenter produce and host a new, untitled adventure series that will take in “some of the most mind-blowing scenery on the planet, all in pursuit of the ultimate animal encounter in the experience of a lifetime.”

Chris Brown for Seven Network

He will also front Seven’s new series Dream Home, an inspiring new renovation competition that will see everyday Australians have their houses transformed.

Chris Brown said: “To be able to bring my world of animals to life in an original, adventurous and breathtaking way truly excites me.

“I can’t wait for the world’s wildlife and the search for Australia’s best Dream Home to land in our lounge rooms in 2024.”

Both shows will begin production later this year.
