TV Ratings November 10, 2021: ABC’s Hard Quiz and Gruen blow away the primetime competition

TV ratings: Wednesday Week 45 2021

Gruen was the top program in the total TV ratings after increasing its overnight ratings by 20% to 1.112m. The episode saw Christina Aventi and Sunita Gloster joined the panel. Hard Quiz also had over 1m viewers for the ABC after increasing by 11%.

Home and Away was the top non-news program on Seven with 1.021m after increasing by 22%, while Big Brother VIP was up to 721,000, an increase of 35%.

Parental Guidance was the top non-news program on Nine with 984,000 viewers.

Nine

Nine once again had the top primary share (18.5%) and network share (28.0%) last night thanks to its winning combo of A Current Affair (660,000), Parental Guidance (517,000), and Emergency (300,000).

Parental Guidance was down on last Wednesday’s 536,000  viewers as Free Range parents Penny and Daniel and Tiger parents Kevin and Debbie were sent to the Crowded House. The parents join Strict parents Andrew and Miriam and Routine dads Brett and Tony.

Love Island aired at 9:40pm and had 145,000 viewers as Jess Velkovski and Aaron Waters emerged from The Hideaway.

Seven

Home and Away was the top non-news program on Seven last night with 553,000.

It was once again followed in the 7:30pm spot by the struggling Big Brother VIP which had 310,000 viewers, as Bernard Curry was evicted from the hotel. This was down on last week’s 375,000 viewers.

The first night of quarter-finals on America’s Got Talent then had 136,000 viewers.

The Project had 238,000 (6:30pm) and 368,000 (7:00pm) as the show discussed Australian workers rights if they catch Covid-19 while in the workplace.

The Bachelorette had 249,000 viewers as Brooke broke the ice with Millie on a single date while Mardi Gras was celebrated on the group date. There was tension at the cocktail party as Jamie-Lee confronted the rumours about herself. The rose ceremony saw Steve and Taje depart the show. This episode was down on last week’s 288,000 viewers.

The season finale of Gogglebox then brought in 503,000 viewers.

ABC

Hard Quiz continues to make it look easy after bringing in a crowd of 647,000 viewers, the top non-news program of the night. This was followed by Gruen as the show unbottled the selling of water in front of an audience of 577,000.

New Aussie comedy Preppers then had 267,000 viewers.

SBS

The top program on SBS was a repeat of Michael Palin In North Korea with 141,000 viewers.
