Up 53%, 1,916,000 watched the final Married At First Sight (MAFS) Commitment Ceremony, seeing see which couples would choose to stay in the experiment and prepare for Final Vows. 

After a tense day for the castaways on Australian Survivor, the tribal council vote was a tie between Nina and Simon. 963,000 watched as the revote ended with Simon unanimously voted out, lifting 36%.

In an Australian Idol twist, the judges shocked the remaining six contestants by announcing they wouldn’t be saving an artist from the public vote: it was now Australia’s turn to decide. Up 19%, the episode drew a crowd of 861,000.

Nine has won a massive Sunday night with a primary share of 27.4% and a network share of 33.6%. 7Two topped multichannels with a 2.6% share. 

It was the first night of final vows on Married At First Sight (MAFS), with the couples deciding where their relationships would go after the show. Whilst Layton confessed his love to Melinda, 924,000 watched as Duncan officially ended things with a stunned looking Alyssa. 60 Minutes then looked into what a TikTok ban would look like, and interviewed Brooke Shields for 569,000. 

Earlier in the day, the Knights took on the Raiders in the NRL, with the knights taking home the 24-14 win in front of 202,000 viewers.

There was confetti and tears as Seven crowned their new Australian Idol. Australian voters had chosen 23-year-old Royston Sagigi-Baira, 15-year-old Phoebe Stewart, and 20-year-old Josh Hannan as the final three to compete for the Australian Idol crown, with 573,000 watching the episode – peaking at 596,000 as Royston took the title.

In Sunday afternoon AFL, the Sydney Swans obliterated the Hawks, with 315,000 watching as the home side came out on top 118-37. 

On the ABC, Death In Paradise stumbled upon a rap artist who had been shot dead at a sound check, cracking the case for 469,000. In Our Blood followed, with 182,000 viewers.

On 10, The Sunday Project (165,000 6:30pm / 229,000 7pm) unpicked the details of the NSW election, and interviewed ​​Kiefer Sutherland about his new series, Rabbit Hole.

The penultimate episode of Australian Survivor revealed that the castaways would not be voting out anyone from the tribe, instead voting for a member of the Jury to go home. 522,000 tuned in as Shonee was the one picked to leave the bench.

The highest rating non-news show on SBS was Bettany Hughes: Treasures Of Azerbaijan with 111,000.
