TV Ratings June 12, 2022: MasterChef tops entertainment as Micheal flounders

Total TV Ratings, June 5

The top non-news program in the total TV ratings for June 5 was 7News Spotlight’s coverage of The Platinum Party at the Palace, which had 1,321,000 viewers, an increase of 10%.

MasterChef Australia was the top program for 10 with 798,000 viewers, an increase of 21%. The episode saw Marco Pierre White back in the kitchen with Marco’s “Pantry Favourites” – extra virgin olive oil, chardonnay vinegar, red wine vinegar, brandy, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, capers, ketchup, honey, Dijon mustard, cornichons, tabasco sauce, red currant jelly and anchovies. Harry went home after her whole baked flounder with herb butter sauce didn’t live up to expectations.

On Nine, Celebrity Apprentice Australia had 673,000 viewers (up 25%). The episode saw the celebs challenged to write and illustrate an original children’s book. The program ended with Will and Woody falling on their sword and suggesting that they be the ones fired (to which Lord Sugar obliged).

Overnight TV Ratings, June 12

Nine had both the top primary channel (19.6%) and network share (28.3%) thanks to a combination of the NRL (230,000), 60 Minutes (430,000), and Depp v Heard: Love and War (280,000). The original Top Gun then followed these with a robust 279,000 for the 9:00pm timeslot. 

On Seven, 7News Spotlight had 533,000 viewers as the program confront the international scammers targeting vulnerable Australians while rescuing victims in real-time. 

On 10, MasterChef Australia was the top entertainment program of the night with 552,000 viewers as Michael Weldon went home after his fish was overcooked. The episode featured a challenge from guest judge Rick Stein. NCIS: Hawaii followed with 251,000 viewers. 

On the ABC, Grand Designs Revisited had 368,000 viewers as the show took viewers back to Lewes. The Aussie drama Barons then followed with 101,000 viewers.

The top non-news program on SBS was Voices from the Dead with 120,000 viewers.
