Seven’s triple header of Home and Away has topped primetime entertainment, with the first two episodes averaging 843,000, up 26%. The late episode was not far behind, up 28% for a total audience of 822,000.

The Dog House Australia rose 11%, bringing 570,000 viewers in for Channel 10. Seven’s The Front Bar brought 514,000 to the pub, lifting 14%.

Nine has won the night with a primary share of 21.3% and a network share of 28.9%. 10 Peach and 7TWO have tied to top the multichannels with a 3.7% share.

On Nine, A Current Affair cleared up some questions surrounding Covid-19 antiviral pills, and asked 620,000 if they had seen Tara the cat who went missing from her local vet. Thursday Night NRL saw the Brisbane Broncos take on the Parramatta Eels at a particularly soggy CommBank Stadium. A second half comeback attempt by the home team was no match for the Broncos, who took the match 36-14 in front of 373,000 viewers. Outside of the major NRL markets, RBT drew a crowd of 180,000.

Seven aired the Thursday night triple header of Home and Away, with the first two episodes averaging 417,000, and the late episode attracting 354,000 viewers. The Front Bar was joined by Brisbane Lions legend Alastair Lynch, who had a laugh along with 316,000 viewers – 201,000 of them in Melbourne, making it the top non-news show in the market. 

The Project (248,000 6:30pm / 354,000 7pm) kicked the night off for 10, covering how online games are tracking kids’ data, and heading to LA with Lisa Wilkinson as she interviewed Gloria Allred. The Dog House Australia introduced ​​433,000 viewers to Lane the dachshund cross pup, Aspen the Japanese Spitz, and Caroline the Australian terrier mix.

The ABC’s 7.30 covered the rise of Covid re-infections and the threat of foot-and-mouth disease for an audience of 521,000, before 223,000 watched as the Sydney Symphony Orchestra Live Gala marked the grand reopening of the Sydney Opera House Concert Hall.

The highest rating non-news show on SBS was Scenic Coastal Walks With Kate Humble, which took 142,000 down to the water’s edge.
