TV Ratings April 28, 2022: Gogglebox & MasterChef combo a chef’s kiss for 10

Total TV Ratings: April 21

On 10, Gogglebox rose 30% for a total audience of 925,000, while MasterChef wasn’t too far behind, also rising 30% for a total audience of 828,000.

Seven’s Home and Away lifted 23% for a total of 898,000, while the late episode rose 26% to bring in an audience of 811,000. The Front Bar pulled a total audience of 415,000, a jump of 17%.

On the ABC, Foreign Corrospondant rose 12%, taking 533,000 to Italy.

Nine has won the night with a primary share of 18.6% – however, Seven has come in with the highest network share of  26.9%. Taking out the night on multichannels was 7TWO with 3.7%.

On Nine, A Current Affair covered Covid-19 brain fog, a debilitating condition some people are left with after the initial infection, for an audience of 563,000. On Thursday night NRL, 316,000 watched as the Broncos clawed back victory against the Sharks, winning 16-7. Outside of NRL heartland, 205,000 tuned in to RBT.

Seven’s Thursday night Home and Away triple header drew an average of 433,000 for the first two episodes, with 369,000 tuning into the late episode. Ramsay’s 24 Hours to Hell and Back rounded out the evening for 115,000 viewers.

On 10, The Project had 209,000 (6:30pm) / 370,000 (7pm) watch as the team broke down the details of the security agreement between China and the Solomon Islands, and interviewed Miles Teller. Matt Stone brought some of his favourite controversial ingredients to the MasterChef kitchen for an audience of 510,000. Gogglebox brought 543,000 to the couch, making it the top non-news show of the night.

ABC’s 7.30 also covered the Solomon Islands security cooperation deal with China, as well as cost-of-living pressures for an audience of 447,000. Foreign Correspondent took 399,000 to Georgia where they spoke to a number of Russian dissidents, before 256,000 watched as Q+A was hosted live from Brisbane Powerhouse.

On SBS, the highest rating program was World’s Most Scenic River Journeys, which drew an audience of 188,000.
