With the countdown to the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 well and truly on, the Socceroos will take to Suncorp Stadium against New Zealand on September 22 in their farewell match before they head off to Qatar.

The Socceroos will be celebrating the centenary as the Australian men’s national team, when they take on Trans-Tasman rivals New Zealand this Thursday night, live and exclusive from 7.30pm AEST on Network 10, 10 Play and Paramount+.

Players will be looking to impress in the two-match series, putting their best foot forward in front of the coaches, and the country, to secure their spot in the World Cup squad.

The team will then head across the ditch for the return leg against New Zealand, live on Sunday from 12.30pm AEST on 10, 10 Play and Paramount+.

For the first time in more than three years, the Socceroos will play in Brisbane when they host New Zealand.

Over the years, the Socceroos have played in Brisbane more than 30 times including playing the first ever home game in the city.

Australia’s farewell match will be the first appearance of the national team in the Queensland capital since November 2018.
