The day of live action will begin at 1:30 pm with the women’s team playing Papua New Guinea. NRLW players Kennedy Cherrington, Dragons flying fullback Teagan Berry and former Aussie Sevens representative-turned-Tigers speedster Jakiya Whitfeld will all feature.

Australia’s vice-captain, Daly Cherry-Evans, said: “It’s always an honour to represent your country and this game, in particular, is a special one to be part of.

“We know how much the people of PNG love their rugby league so we’re really looking forward to getting up there for the test match. It’s going to be tough against the Kumuls, but we know what is in front of us and will be well prepared to put in a performance that everyone can be proud of.”
