The Melbourne Cup is back, and punters have several options to watch the race that stops the nation.

On Tuesday, November 1, 24 local and international racehorses and their jockeys are set to take to the 3200-metre race track for a shot at $8 million in prize money.

On Free-to-air, viewers can watch the race day festivities on 10 with coverage beginning at 10:00 am AEDT to 5:30 pm AEDT on 10 and 10 Play.

The Melbourne Cup race itself showing at 3:00 pm in Sydney, Melbourne and Canberra. Meanwhile, in Brisbane, the race will commence at 2 pm, in Adelaide at 2:30 pm, in Darwin at 1:30 pm and Perth at 12 pm.

The broadcast brings viewers all the exciting action on and off the track, hosted by Eddie McGuire alongside Lexus Melbourne Cup-winning jockey and trainer Michelle Payne.

Also part of the team is international racing media icon Francesca Cumani, three-time Lexus Melbourne Cup-winning jockey Glen Boss, and racing experts Michael Felgate, Caty Price, James Winks, David Gately and Brittany Taylor.

Meanwhile, covering all things fashion, colour and entertainment in The Birdcage and around the track are Rob Mills, Georgie Tunny, Natalie Hunter, Tara Rushton and Archie Thompson.

Paramount’s deal (formerly Network 10 when the deal was struck) for the Cup Week broadcast rights was signed in 2018 with Racing Victoria stakeholder Victorian Racing Club. That $100m deal expires at the completion of Melbourne Cup Week 2023.

Elsewhere, the race can be see on Foxtel’s Sky Racing and Racing.com. It will also be available to streaming service Kayo, in partnership with racing.com, or the TAB App.

For those who might be unable to make it to a TV screen or streaming device in time, the race will be broadcast on radio on Triple M (Sydney 104.9 FM, Brisbane 104.5 FM, Adelaide 104.7 FM and Melbourne 105.1 FM) and ABC Grandstand.
