Australian Hugh Jackman and co-star Allison Janney star in the feature length film Bad Education, which will stream on Foxtel NOW and will be screening on Fox Showcase Sunday, May 17 at 8.30 pm AEST.

Bad Education is inspired by the true story of a fraud scandal that erupted at a respected Long Island high school in 2002, described as the biggest school embezzlement case in US history.

The film tells the story of Frank Tassone (Academy Award nominee Jackman), who serves as the charismatic superintendent of Roslyn’s school district. Serving alongside him is his hardworking assistant, superintendent Pamela Gluckin (Academy Award winner Janney).

Together, they reign over the Long Island school district on the verge of the nation’s top spot, spurring record college admissions and soaring property values. But they also collude to pull off an extraordinary embezzlement crime, while maintaining order and secrecy – by whatever means necessary.

Co-starring are Ray Romano as school board president Bob Spicer and Geraldine Viswanathan as high school student Rachel Bhargava.

Bad Education is a HBO Film directed by Corey Finley with the screenplay by Mike Makowsky. It is produced by Automatik, Sight Unseen Pictures and Slater Hall. Executive producers Leonid Lebedev and Caroline Jaczko.

Bad Education is exclusive in Australia to Foxtel. It is available to watch on FOX SHOWCASE and to stream for Foxtel subscribers On Demand via internet connected IQ boxes, on smartphones and tablets using the Foxtel GO app and via Foxtel NOW.
