Netflix’s season five of The Last Kingdom is a new addition to the TV demand charts, claiming the #2 spot in Australia with 18.63 points. The Last Kingdom series is based on The Saxon Stories novels by Bernard Cornwell and will be the show’s final season before a movie is released to wrap things up.

The Mandalorian, Disney Plus original has taken the top spot in Australia’s digital original series with 21.1 points above market average, while placing third in Australia’s overall shows.

Outlander has placed first in both the Australian and New Zealand overall shows with 22.9 and 16.58 points above market average, while Married at First Sight follows closely behind with 21.73 and 15.21 points, respectively.

After an extended break due to COVID-19, Outlander’s sixth season premiered March 6 and will go for eight episodes – a change from previous seasons, which have run anywhere from thirteen to sixteen episodes apiece.

Another series climbing the Australian charts is Amazon Prime original The Boys, with 18.09 points above average. The season three trailer was released last week and has been flagged for content over 20 million times, leading Twitter admins to review the content 603 times. Season three will premiere in early June.

HBO Max’s Our Flag Means Death was the #1 watched show on the New Zealand digital original charts, coming in at 14.44 points above market average while sitting at seventh in Australia with 14.11 points. The final two episodes of the series will premiere on March 24.

Paramount Plus original, Star Trek: Picard ranked fourth in Australia with 17.76 points above average and second in New Zealand with 13.98 points, while The Book of Boba Fett placed fifth in New Zealand (12.43) and sixth in Australia (15.94). South Park ranked sixth in Australia with 19.8 points and third in New Zealand for another week, coming in 14.86 points above average.
