TV Demand: Our Flag Means Death continues to live at #1

• Disney Plus original, Moon Knight slowly inches closer to top

Our Flag Means Death has once again made a clean sweep of this week’s TV demand charts, coming in at 30.11 points above the market average in Australia and 26.75 points in New Zealand. The HBO Max original continues to rank well despite the season one finale airing three weeks ago.

In an attempt to incentivise a season two renewal, Our Flag Means Death fans have been organising letter-writing campaigns to show their support and excitement for a second season.

Netflix’s season two of Bridgerton has placed second in Australia’s digital originals coming in at 26.47 points above the average. Last week the period drama series placed fifth in New Zealand’s overall charts but has since fallen out of the top 10.

Disney Plus original, Moon Knight has slowly inched closer to the top, ranking second in New Zealand with 21.69 points and 24.61 in Australia. The six-episode series has released three episodes to date with the finale set to premiere on May 4. The miniseries is based on the Marvel Comics featuring a character of the same name, and is the sixth television series in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU).

The Mandalorian continues to rank well, placing fourth in Australia’s digital originals with 19.58 points and seventh in New Zealand’s digital originals with 10.45 points. This week it was announced Rio Hackford, who provided the motion capture work on the assassin droid IG-11, voiced by Taika Waititi on the series has died aged 51.

British spy thriller, Killing Eve, starring Sandra Oh, Jodie Comer and Fiona Shaw has placed second in Australia’s overall TV shows with 27.43 points above average as the season four finale premiered last week. The series follows Eve Polastri, a British intelligence investigator tasked with capturing psychopathic assassin Villanelle, before eventually developing a mutual obsession.

Also making the charts is Outlander, placing fourth in Australia (24.99) and third in New Zealand (18.94), along with Star Trek: Picard (14.55) coming in at third in new Zealand’s digital original charts and Stranger Things (17.9) which has placed fifth in Australia’s digital originals.
