• Stranger Things remained #1 in both Australia and New Zealand’s digital originals

After 16 weeks, momentum is finally starting to slow for Netflix’s Stranger Things. The popular sci-fi series remained #1 in both Australia and New Zealand’s digital originals but has been overtaken by House of The Dragon on both overall TV show charts. The series experienced a significant decline, coming in 29.48 points above average in Australia compared to 44.6 points last week. In New Zealand, the series had a market average difference of 17.31.

In its second week on screens, Disney + original, She-Hulk: Attorney At Law, has moved from third to second in the digital originals. Based on the Marvel Comics, the series follows Jennifer Walters (Tatiana Maslany), a lawyer specialising in cases involving superhumans, who also becomes the green superhero, She-Hulk. The series came in 21.49 points above average in Australia and 15.79 points in New Zealand.

Hulu’s Only Murders In The Building fell one spot to come in third this past week. The series came in 19.74 points above average in Australia and 14.32 points in New Zealand, a slight decrease from the week before. Season two of the mystery-comedy series recently ended, with no premiere date for season three set yet. However, despite no set date, Paul Rudd will join the cast made up of Steve Martin, Martin Short, and Selena Gomez in the next season after his guest appearance in the season two finale.

In overall TV shows, Game of Thrones spin-off House of the Dragon topped the Australian and New Zealand charts with 37.02 and 33.9 points, respectively. Binge’s most-popular show experienced a significant jump from its fourth place position last week. Coming in second to accompany the anticipation was Game of Thrones, clocking 35.07 in Australia and 25.21 in New Zealand.

Better Call Saul placed third in Australia (29.58) and New Zealand (23.98), followed by Breaking Bad with 27.2 in Aus and 17.46 in NZ.
