Triple M will continue to roll out its sports shows despite the suspension of the AFL and NRL and other major sporting competitions in Australia and around the world.

In the AFL states, of Victoria and South Australia, the Triple M Footy Saturday Rub with James Brayshaw, Brian Taylor, Wayne Carey, Damian Barrett and Billy Brownless will continue from 12.00pm – 2.00pm AEST.

Following the Rub, listeners can relish in replays of some of the most classic AFL grand finals from 2.00pm – 5.00pm AEST. To kick it off this Saturday 28 March, the current Rub team will recall the 1989 Geelong v Hawthorn Grand Final.

Triple M NRL fans, in NSW and Queensland, can tune into the Saturday Sin Bin with Paul Kent, Gorden Tallis, Anthony Maroon and James Hooper, from 12.00pm – 3.00pm AEST. Some of the NRL’s biggest rivalries will also be relived each Saturday afternoon, from 3.00pm – 5.00pm AEST, starting with game three of the 2019 State of Origin series this weekend.

Head of Triple M, Mike Fitzpatrick, said: “We understand the decision by the AFL and NRL to suspend their competitions and, in their absence, we will work hard to ensure our audiences stay entertained. Just because there’s no footy on, it doesn’t mean we can’t talk about footy and relive some of the greatest moments! Hopefully we can provide a bit of reprieve in what is a challenging time for all.”

Rush Hour shows will still be heard weekdays at 6.00pm – 7.00pm in Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne, and 5:30pm – 7:00pm in Adelaide. Local Dead Set Legends shows will also continue on Saturday mornings in Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, Brisbane and Perth.

Sunday’s on Triple M will feature the ultimate sporting hangover with Couchapalooza running from 12.00pm – 5.00pm local time, each Sunday for a month (excluding Easter Sunday). The on-air concert series will bring you the best live acts without having to even get off the couch!

From Easter Thursday through to Easter Monday Triple M brings you the essential playlist – Quarantine 1000.

Shows can be heard across Australia via the Triple M app.
