With new reviews of some of the world’s best tourist destinations, Travel Guides will have you dreaming of that next holiday when it returns on Channel Nine and 9Now.

The travel critics are back: the Fren family, twin cowgirls Stack and Mel, retirees Kevin and Janetta, mates Kev, Dorian and Teng, and travel addicts and longtime couple Matt and Brett.

This season follows a year where the global Covid-19 pandemic and the resulting travel restrictions have meant that Australians haven’t been able to travel overseas – and in a lot of cases, across state borders to see our own backyard. With the vaccine rollout underway both in Australia and in many other countries however, Australians are beginning to dream about where they might be able to travel to soon.

The new season will see worldwide and local destinations such as Greece, Mauritius, South Korea, Cambodia, South Australia, and the Kimberley in far north-western Australia.

Beginning with an island-hopping holiday in Greece, the Guides visit historical sites in Athens, tuck into delicious Greek food, and try to keep up with the most beautiful influencers on the planet on the party island of Mykonos.

Greece turns out to be everything the Guides ever imagined, with pristine turquoise waters, sensational souvlaki, stunning destinations, and endless parties – but is their island-hopping holiday just too much to handle?

In each episode of Travel Guides, the five groups travel to the same location for the same week-long holiday, reviewing the cuisine, accommodation, activities, and tourist sights.

Opinions always differ, leading to brutally honest and often outrageous reviews as the Guides tell it how they see it and rate each holiday out of five stars.

Narrated by Aussie comedian Denise Scott, Travel Guides is produced by Nine.

Note: Travel Guides was originally set to return Wednesday, April 14 at 7.30pm on Channel Nine & 9now. This has since changed. This page will be updated when the new date is announced.
