Thinkerbell - Jerker Fagerström

Margie Reid said: “He’ll help us to deliver even more measured magic and drive Thinkerbell Sydney to even greater heights”

Thinkerbell has welcomed Swedish creative agency maverick Jerker Fagerström.

Fagerström will be taking the reins of Thinkerbell North (Sydney) in the newly created role of managing partner.

Fagerström has done it all in his time in creative agencies; from building and selling his own agency, to working in group pan-European roles within Publicis Groupe. He’s also been managing director, head of strategy and ECD at various times in his career.

Fagerström has also been influential in making some of the world’s best-known work come to market including the VW Cannes Grand Prix winning Fun Theory whilst at DDB. He is returning with his family from the Nordics to Sydney, where he was based for five years until to August 2019.

Thinkerbell CEO, Margie Reid said of the appointment: “Jerker is a world class creative leader, is highly creatively driven, and he’ll help us to deliver even more measured magic and drive Thinkerbell Sydney to even greater heights.”

Jerker said of his new role: “Once we decided to move back to Sydney I sat down and wrote myself a wishlist: an agency with big ambition, breadth and depth of talent, and a culture of having fun together.

“I knew Adam from way back to our Saatchi days but after having spent time with Margie, Jim, Cuz and team it was obvious that Thinkerbell ticked everything on that list. I absolutely love their Thinker Tinker model and their incredibly broad range of what’s possible,” he added.

Adam Ferrier
, chief thinker, said: “Jerker’s the best, a wonderful chap and bloody strong leader – he’ll be a brilliant Managing Partner for our North offering.”

Jerker commences his role at Thinkerbell in January 2023.

In July, Thinkerbell welcomed two new key hires to focus on the well-being of its people and the quality of its product.

Thierry Lalchere
joins the team in the newly created role of chief of staff. She will look after all things ‘people’ within the agency, as well as systems, processes and HR.

Lalchere has been charged with ensuring the Thinkerbell brand is a magnet for ‘exceptional unconventional’ people across the market, and that the agency creates the experience that ensures their people thrive and belong.

Focusing on the product, Keir Vaughan joins the agency as ‘head craft tinker. He was previously at Special Group where he was design director. His remit is to both focus on the craft of Thinkerbell’s work, but also to radiate craft and a design sensibility throughout the business – from the insight, to the idea, to how it comes to life in the world.
