The interview airs at 6.30pm on 10 and 10 Play

In an Australian first, audiences can watch Prince Harry: The Exclusive US Interview during a special edition of The Project on Monday, January 9 at 6.30pm on 10 and 10 Play.

As a member of Paramount, network 10 has the Australian rights to Prince Harry: The Exclusive US Interview, the Prince’s first interview discussing his memoir Spare with award-winning journalist Anderson Cooper.

In the first interview to air on Australian TV, the Duke of Sussex talks about his biography that is re-igniting tensions with the Royal Family.

In the interview, Prince Harry talks about his departure from the UK and the Royal Family, saying Buckingham Palace failed to protect him and his wife, Meghan Markle, from the tabloid attacks.

Harry claims that his private conversations with other Royal Family members were leaked to the press and that his pleas for help were silenced by palace officials.

“There comes a point,” Harry tells Cooper, “where silence is betrayal.”

The memoir title, Spare, comes from the phrase “heir and spare,” which is understood to reflect Harry’s feelings towards his brother Prince William, first in line for King Charles’s throne.

In addition to his interview with CBS, Harry has also been interviewed by ITV’s Tom Bradby.
