Taboola has deepened its partnership with OPPO and its subsidiary realme, extending Taboola News recommendations to millions of additional smartphones across India and Thailand.
The expansion builds on a partnership dating back to 2023, under which OPPO and realme have integrated Taboola News across millions of devices in the United Kingdom, the Philippines, Singapore, Argentina and other markets. OPPO and realme will continue to embed the recommendations on the lock screens of their smartphones.
Taboola News delivers content recommendations from Taboola’s publisher network directly into offerings from mobile carriers and device manufacturers, spanning smartphone screens and web browsers.
The company said the model creates revenue opportunities for carriers, manufacturers, publishers and brands, while giving publishers increased traffic at no additional cost.
“OPPO and realme have always been at the forefront of delivering great experiences for their customers, and Taboola News is part of that effort,” said Adam Singolda, CEO of Taboola.
“During our long-standing partnership, we have seen their commitment to innovation. We are pleased to see Taboola News play a role in giving their smartphone users more access to relevant content, now in millions of additional devices worldwide.”
“Our focus continues to be on providing users with experiences that provide value to users,” said Tank Zeng, director of OPPO’s overseas business.
“We have benefited from Taboola News because it taps into Taboola’s long history of providing access to trusted publishers all around the world. With our deepened partnership, we are excited to take this ability even further.”
Taboola works with thousands of advertisers on Realize, its ad platform, reaching approximately 600 million daily active users across publishers including NBC News and Yahoo. Other device manufacturer partners include Samsung and Xiaomi.
