Sydney’s latest radio ratings are in, and while 2GB has once again held onto its spot at the top.
The KIIS FM breakfast duo enjoyed a +0.2 boost in the time slot, but despite the upward trajectory, they can’t seem to catch 2GB’s Ben Fordham, who recorded a +1.2 increase.

2GB has tightened its grip on Sydney’s radio market, rising to a 13.6% overall share up 0.8 points.
The growth is visible across all key day parts, with Ben Fordham Live pulling a commanding 16.7% share in Breakfast (up 1.1), more than four points clear of his nearest rival. Meanwhile, Mornings with Mark Levy continues to dominate with a 15.5% share.
Fordham and Levy have delivered a clean sweep across the first three surveys of the year, with listeners continuing to back the station’s refreshed approach.
Nine’s National Content Manager, Greg Byrnes said: “These figures show Sydney has embraced 2GB’s new sound with big increases right across the day. What Ben Fordham and Mark Levy have achieved is remarkable.”

A solid survey for smoothfm 95.3, cemented its place as Sydney’s most popular station, attracting 1,291,000 cumulative listeners and claiming the title of the most listened to station nationwide.
Head of Programming for the Smooth Network, Peter Clay said: “We’re thrilled with another outstanding result for the Smooth network in Survey 3, with Smooth 95.3 in Sydney continuing its run as the most listened-to station in the country for every survey this year”.

Despite an overall drop station-wise, the Australian Radio Network’s (ARN) KIIS 1065 enjoyed a +0.2 increase in the Breakfast timeslot for The Kyle and Jackie O Show.
ARN’s Chief Content Officer, Duncan Campbell said: “The continued dominance of The Kyle & Jackie O Show speaks to the power of our network”.
“No other breakfast show in the country reaches over a million listeners. In Sydney, the show has now held the #1FM position for an incredible 51 consecutive surveys, with Jonesy & Amanda maintaining their strong #2FM position to complete ARN’s breakfast duopoly.”

2DayFM’s Breakfast offering The Jimmy & Nath Show with Emma is showing early signs of traction, lifting to a 3.9% share up 0.5 points, with cumulative audience also growing by 8,000 to 310,000 listeners.
SCA’s Chief Content Officer, Dave Cameron, said the result reflects the network’s broader strategy: “SCA has real momentum. We’re seeing green shoots and steady cume today across several key markets, and as 2025 continues to be a year of evolution for our content strategy to focus on fresh voices and fresh shows.”
