I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! was the top non-news program in the total TV ratings after registering 936,000 viewers, an increase of 22% on its overnight TV ratings.

The top entertainment show on Nine was a repeat of Travel Guides that had 700,000 viewers, an increase of 7%.

The Big Bash League on Seven between the Melbourne Renegades and the Sydney Sixers had 544,000 viewers.

Overnight TV Ratings, January 18

Nine has cruised to another easy win thanks to the Australian Open. The broadcaster was the top primary channel with a 23.6% share and was also the top network thanks to a 35.8% share.

The top rating segment of the Australian Open came in the first night session with 630,000 viewers as Nick Kyrgios took centre stage in his round 1 win.

Day Session: 425,000 (308,000 metro & 117,000 regional)
Night Session: 866,000 (630,000 & 236,000 regional)
Night Session 2: 711,000 (531,000 metro & 180,000 regional)

Seven dished up sport in prime time as well but with less success as the Big Bash League contest between the Hobart Hurricanes and the Melbourne Renegades had 269,000 viewers.

On 10, I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! was the top entertainment show with 622,000 viewers, just slightly behind the Australian Open as the top non-news show. 

The ABC dished up a repeat of Anh’s Brush with Fame which featured Michelle Payne and saw 259,000 tune in.

The top program on SBS was a repeat of Great Continental Railway Journeys with 180,000 viewers.
